New appointment of the Festival of Reciprocity on Sunday 5th June at the castle court

SAN GIORGIO CANAVESE. The Festival of reciprocity in the Tre Terre Canavesane – Agliè, Castellamonte and San Giorgio Canavese – continues with the song-theater by Neri Marcorè, who will perform with “My songs of others” on Sunday 5 June at 9 pm in the courtyard of the castle of San Giorgio, in an interesting show that will explore the world of Italian and foreign songwriters, from folk to pop, proposing well-known and lesser-known pieces that somehow represent his musical training, linked to personal life experiences or simply to the pleasure of involving the public in the sharing a common musical heritage. Accompanying him on acoustic guitar, bouzouki and piano is his inseparable friend Domenico Mariorenzi.

Not just music though: the concert will be accompanied by a recital in which Neri Marcorè will deal with the theme of reciprocity. Before becoming an actor and conductor, Marcorè took his first steps in the world of art through music, a passion that has never subsided which in recent years has regained its lymph and body. Theatrical productions such as “A certain Mr. G”, “Beatles Submarine” and “What I don’t have” and a series of concerts led him to attend the repertoire of Fabrizio De André, Giorgio Gaber, Gianmaria Testa and other songwriters with assiduity. Tickets to attend the show cost 13 euros to buy before Saturday 28 May and 18 euros from Sunday 29; the reduced ticket for spectators under 26 costs 15 euros starting from 29. To reach San Giorgio Canavese from Turin Porta Susa, the Corriera della Reciprocità will be available again, one of the initiatives that the Metropolitan City of Turin promotes as part of the PUMS, the Urban Plan for Sustainable Mobility, with the aim of encouraging participation in events also by those who do not want or cannot use the car. The departure of the shuttle bus will be at 7.45 pm from Turin Porta Susa, in front of the old station, with the return immediately after the concert.
