It was a nice gesture: Mayor Markus Vogl (SP) and the members of the city senate recently brought a sign saying “Herbert-Walzl-Steg” to the Theater am Fluss as a premiere gift. Walzl died unexpectedly in 2022, shaped the theater and helped build it. His two sons were touched by the honor. But the new name for the unofficially Rohr- or more commonly used Sandmair-Steg does not go down well with everyone.
