SUMMARY
The Páramo del Duende in the jurisdiction of the department of Chocó, is a little-known ecosystem that encompasses many study components within which there is, in addition to great biological wealth, a physical component that includes water as the most important element for its constitution, since it determines the presence and absence of others. With the
In order to identify, georeference and analyze the current state of the wetlands of this ecosystem, field work was carried out that allowed the analysis of the structure, quality and composition of several lentic sources during the dry season (December).
To determine the structure and location, tours were carried out at the edge level with a GPS programmed to take coordinates every five seconds and for the analysis of composition and quality, in situ measurements of dissolved oxygen, temperature, pH, conductivity and medium depth.
The results obtained were analyzed and compared with water quality standards for the preservation of aquatic biota. It was possible to contribute to the knowledge not only of the paramo ecosystem, but also to the analysis of the dynamics of its wetlands, in addition, the report and inclusion of these sources in the cartography of the area was obtained.
