The police referred to the case of the newborn baby who was found abandoned in the Chaparrera sector in Yopal, which remains in the HORO pediatric emergency service.
According to information provided by the Children and Adolescents Police, a call alerted the authority who immediately went to the scene to rescue the little girl, transfer her to the emergency room and begin the process of reestablishing rights.
The baby girl, who according to medical studies would be 3 to 5 days old, is in good health and under the protection of a surrogate mother from the ICBF.
For its part, the Orinoquia Regional Hospital, through pediatrician Yolainis Rosado Arias, provided a medical report on the little girl’s health, noting that she is in good condition, responds normally to physical examinations appropriate to her age and will remain in the Pediatric Unit until the rigorous protocol is completed.
