Of course, the option of a national orange as a minimum base for the entire territory is a hypothesis on the table. Pd, cinquestelle and the Minister of Health Roberto Speranza would like to carry on the block of yellow until the beginning of May, while the Lega and Forza Italia would like to reintroduce that color as soon as possible. Palazzo Chigi will be guided by the numbers of the infection. Which, for now, are not good, as the CTS reiterated on Tuesday to Prime Minister Mario Draghi and as yesterday’s figures say. If they improve, the yellow can return sooner, otherwise there will be a wait. And the only colors allowed will be red and orange, in addition to white. Meanwhile, it is assumed that the opening of cinemas, theaters, hypothesized for March 27, will postpone.
At the moment there aren’t many local businesses that have yellow zone numbers. Rather. Seven Regions and one Province will remain in the red zone at least until the week after Easter, that is, until Monday 12 April. Among these is the Val D’Aosta, which from Monday will enter the scenario with more restrictions. The others, namely Friuli Venezia Giulia, Emilia-Romagna, Piedmont, the Province of Trento, the Marches, Lombardy and Puglia are already red. In the same color there is also the Veneto, which is in the balance. Only today will it be understood if he will be able to return to orange earlier, that is, after Easter Monday or if he will have the same fate as the others. Also on Monday 29, Lazio will go to orange.
With RT improving a bit throughout the country, it is the incidence that determines the destinies of local realities. In the last dpcm it is foreseen that when the weekly cases are more than 250 per 100 thousand inhabitants, the red zone is triggered. And in the previous measures it was specified that it is necessary to remain in this condition for 14 days before being able to switch to orange, provided that for two consecutive monitoring of the control room (which take place on Fridays) the Region or Province has data compatible with the scenario with fewer restrictions. The week that will be considered tomorrow for the calculation runs from March 19th to today. But by evaluating the trend of the various Regions it is already possible to say with a low risk of error who is in a red scenario and therefore has at least two weeks of this color ahead of him. And if in one or more Regions the numbers are not good even on the Friday before Easter, the return to orange will be postponed for another week and so on.
Already yesterday, based on the 6-day incidence data, Friuli, Emilia and Piedmont had more than 250 cases per 100 thousand inhabitants. Trento, Marche, Val d’Aosta, Lombardy and Puglia were just below, certainly with today’s cases they will exceed the threshold set by the government. Then there is Veneto, which with today’s new infections could actually reach 250. If it remains below the threshold and next week will have data compatible with orange, it will be able to enter this scenario from after Easter. Otherwise it will be in the same condition as the others. At risk is also Tuscany, now orange, but in the last two days it has had a reduction in cases that seems to remove the hypothesis of the change of color. But surprises are not excluded.
The second move will be that of Lazio. The RT, which will have to be confirmed tomorrow by the control room, is close to 1, well away from the 1.25 which leads to red. The Region has no problems with regard to the incidence, given the fairly low numbers. He can hope to reopen the schools starting next Monday.
