Social Prosperity will launch the first cycle of Young Income payments, after completing all the legal, technical and operational processes necessary in what has been called the evolution of Jóvenes en Acción. The first day of delivery of monetary incentives of 2024 will begin this Friday, April 26, and will end on May 10.

Renta Joven seeks to promote the social and economic inclusion of youth through the provision of monetary incentives that facilitate the permanence and support of participants in higher education.

The incentives of the first day are aimed at students of the National Learning Service (SENA) who completed registration in the last academic period of 2023 and for the beneficiaries of some higher education institutions with delays in reports and who reported registration completion for the second semester of 2023.

The entity approved incentives for 122,494 young people, after verifying compliance with the commitments: 56,329 students from SENA (last academic period of 2023) and 60,365 from IES (enrollment II semester of 2023). For these payments, Social Prosperity allocated 47,439 million pesos.

In the case of higher education institutions, registrations are granted and incentives are given to participants linked to:

-International University of the American Tropics.
– Francisco de Paula Santander University.
– Tolimense Institute of Professional Technical Training.
– National Open and Distance University.
– University to the Neighborhood Agreement with the Mayor’s Office of Barranquilla.

Daviplata, Davivienda’s electronic wallet, will deliver the Renta Joven incentives this year. Payment will be made through two methods:

– Banked: for those young people who have an account with the payment operator DaviPlata. Through DaviPlata, participants will also be able to collect at ATMs, Puntored, Reval, Tpaga or Efecty points.
– Money transfer: for those who do not have said financial product. The transfers can be collected from DaviPlata’s payment partners, such as Efecty or Reval, following the payment schedule established for each city.

Young people who do not have the Daviplata product to receive payment have the possibility of opening it autonomously, free and permanently with this operator. To activate your DaviPlata application, you can find specific instructions in the following video: How to activate in the DaviPlata App?

On the Renta Joven website there is all the information regarding the development of the program, its components, payment systems and general and interesting information, so that young people are aware of the news.
Additionally, you will find a button with the lists of young people who enter Renta Joven and those who remain in the program’s transition regime.

Renta Joven was regulated through Resolution 00137, to begin operating in 2024. It is integrated into the transfer system created by the Colombian National Development Plan, World Power for Life. It is the result of the evolution of Jóvenes en Acción, and will benefit students between 14 and 28 years old who are enrolled in IES, SENA and higher normal schools.
