PARTIAL ELECTIONS OF IFRANE: ABDESLAM LAHRAR OF THE POPULAR MOVEMENT ELECTED PRESIDENT OF THE COUNCIL OF THE TERRITORIAL COLLECTIVITY OF IFRANE

Monday 08 May 2023; the meeting room of the Province of Ifrane was at the rendezvous with the new elected councilors of the territorial community of Ifrane for the election of a new Bureau of the Council whose Presidency returned to Abdeslam Lahrar of the party of Majority Popular Movement of the said council.
The vice presidents of the council thus elected, all from the MP, are Nouredine Mouamou, Mbarek Jawhar, Karim Jerradi and Abderrahman Oukkan. As for the position of rapporteur of the council; he reverted to Miss Sakina Eddarra and Miss Malika El Bahani as deputy rapporteur both from the MP.
It should be recalled that some 4614 of the 8465 registered on the electoral lists of the territorial community of Ifrane went to the polls last Thursday, April 27, 2023 to elect a new municipal council of the City of Ifrane after the administrative court of Meknes had put an end to a situation that had become untenable at the Municipal Council of Ifrane by announcing the dissolution of the said Council in accordance with the provisions of article 72 of Organic Law No. 113/14 relating to municipalities.
After the ballot counting operation for these partial municipal elections, the Popular Movement (MP) party came out on top with 13 seats, followed by the National Rally of Independents (RNI) party with 04 seats. , the Istiqlal Party with 02 seats and the Progress and Socialism Party with only one seat.
