It is necessary to achieve a clear understanding of history in the study and education of party history, which is the prerequisite for increasing trust, advocating morality, and practicing. From the party’s glorious achievements, hardships, historical experience, and fine traditions, we must deeply understand why the Communist Party of China can, why Marxism is practiced, and why socialism with Chinese characteristics is good, etc., and clarify the historical logic, theoretical logic, and practical logic among them. We must deeply understand the historical inevitability of upholding the leadership of the Communist Party of China and strengthen our confidence in the leadership of the party. It is necessary to deeply understand the truth of Marxism and its Chinese innovation theory, and strengthen the firmness of consciously implementing the party’s innovation theory. We must deeply understand the correctness of the path of socialism with Chinese characteristics and unswervingly follow the only correct path of socialism with Chinese characteristics.

Marxist science has revealed the laws of human social development, pointed out the way for mankind to seek self-liberation, and promoted the process of human civilization. It is a powerful ideological weapon for us to understand and transform the world. This year marks the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. Since its founding, the Communist Party of China has taken Marxism as its guiding ideology, insisted on combining the basic principles of Marxism with China’s specific reality, and continuously promoted the Sinicization, modernization, and popularization of Marxism. Marxism is radiating new vitality in China in the 21st century, socialism with Chinese characteristics has entered a new era, and the Chinese nation has embarked on a new journey of great rejuvenation.

The history of our party is a history of advancing the Sinicization of Marxism, continuously enriching and developing Marxism, and also a history of applying Marxist theories to understand and transform China. Over the past 100 years, our party has persisted in combining the basic principles of Marxism with China’s specific reality, founded Mao Zedong Thought and Deng Xiaoping Theory, formed the important thinking of the “Three Represents”, the scientific development concept, and created socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era. Thought, guide the party and the people’s cause to continuously create new bureaus. Fundamentally speaking, why the Communist Party of China can and why socialism with Chinese characteristics is good is because of the practice of Marxism. We must perceive the power of truth from the party’s centuries-old history of struggle, continuously deepen our understanding of the laws of the Communist Party’s governance, the laws of socialist construction, and the laws of human social development, and illuminate our way forward with the light of Marxist truth.

To learn from history and create the future, we must continue to promote the Sinicization of Marxism. Marxism is the fundamental guiding ideology for our party and the country, and it is the soul and banner of our party. The Communist Party of China adheres to the basic principles of Marxism, seeks truth from facts, starts from China’s reality, gains insight into the general trend of the times, grasps the historical initiative, carries out arduous explorations, continuously promotes the modernization of Marxism in China, and guides the Chinese people to continuously advance the great social revolution. Why can the Chinese Communist Party and why socialism with Chinese characteristics is good? In the final analysis, it is because of Marxism!
On the new journey, we must adhere to Marxism-Leninism, Mao Zedong Thought, Deng Xiaoping Theory, the important thinking of the “Three Represents”, and the scientific outlook on development, fully implement the socialist thinking with Chinese characteristics in the new era, and insist on combining the basic principles of Marxism with China’s specific reality. Combining with Chinese excellent traditional culture, using Marxism to observe the era, grasp the era, lead the era, and continue to develop contemporary Chinese Marxism and 21st century Marxism!
