The Municipality of Oderzo allocates € 20,000 for traders who choose to change them. Identical guidelines for all. A discount on the Tari is also on the way
ODERZO.The stalls born in May 2020, immediately after the end of the first lockdown, are ugly. Or, in any case, they must be embellished. So the municipal council has decided to allocate twenty thousand euros to overcome the layout of the current pitches, which for safety reasons are delimited by concrete blocks, however judged unsightly.
The administration’s goal is to participate in the expenses that the premises will have to face to renovate their spaces. The exhibitors must follow precise guidelines: the base must be in wood, while the external sides must be delimited by steel planters. The balustrade must also be made of the same material, as essential as possible.
As soon as the announcement that the offices are completing these days is completed, the four businesses that in May 2020 decided to increase the seats, placing them in place of the parking lots, will be able to try to get a part of that money. The 20 thousand euros, which will go only to those who have joined the park-ing and not also to those who have exploited the free stalls to enlarge an existing one, will be divided among the traders who will request and in proportion to the amount budgeted for each of the four of them.
If, after completing the process, they find the contribution offered by the Municipality too weak, they will be able to withdraw from the tender: the amount to be allocated to others would be recalculated. The measure was welcomed by the city council: «With this bonus we are also trying to take care of the aesthetic aspect of the historic center. The current solutions, with concrete blocks, were the fastest route identified by the commander Andrea Marchesin to allow restaurateurs to expand their spaces outside after the lockdown, but they were a temporary phase. The goal is to guarantee these stalls to the historic center even after the end of the emergency: they are spaces for socializing appreciated by opitergini and tourists. The cost of the new stalls is between 6 and 8 thousand euros in total, ”said the mayor Maria Scardellato, analyzing the decision of her council.
The first to criticize the unsightlyness of the concrete jersey was Tino Alescio (Forza Oderzo), but then the timing was criticized by the mayor and even the traders had turned up their noses.
Companies and businesses will also have another help. The Municipality has decided to reserve the 277,000 euros received from the State for non-domestic users for the reduction of the Tari tax, the waste tax that is managed by Savno in our municipalities.
The administration turned that money over to the company which will ensure that the discounts arrive in the next bills: «We have chosen non-domestic users because the decrease had a significant weight. For families there would have been a few euros of difference, ”said the mayor Maria Scardellato.
