The funeral of Maria Panier Suffat, 62, will take place this afternoon, Friday 6 August, at 4 pm, in the parish church of San Costanzo, in Pont.
His sudden death, which took place on Wednesday evening, in his home, aroused dismay and vast condolences in the Pontese community and in the Orco and Soana Valleys.
Doctor bosio’s wife
Very well known in the village, and beyond, Maria, married to Franco Bosio, general practitioner in Pont and in several towns of the two valleys, was an appreciated language teacher. Moreover, for many years he had managed the very popular family tobacconist’s shop, which is located next to the town hall, winning the sympathy of many Pontesi. Kind and lovable person, he cultivated many friendships and was always available to help others.
The memory of his son Emanuele
«I would like her to be remembered for her generosity towards the Pontese community and towards everyone – says her son Emanuele -. She was really a friend of everyone, meeting her on the street was like seeing a ray of sunshine, she did not let her sufferings and troubles show through and she was ready to help anyone who needed it ».
