presented the opportunities for Abruzzo businesses

The meeting promoted by Confindustria Abruzzo, Confindustria Abruzzo Medio Adriatico and Match4.0 took place which illustrated the tools intended for Abruzzo companies that will allow them to remain competitive in a world in constant and rapid transformation, through funding already allocated, with coverage up to 100% for Abruzzo SMEs.

Born in 2018 by all the Confindustria associations of Abruzzo, MATCH 4.0 – Digital Innovation Hub Abruzzo is an agile and widespread structure throughout the territory which aims to facilitate and promote through awareness-raising, training and support activities, digital transformation, innovation and sustainability processes in the sectors of Artificial Intelligence and High Performance Computing.

Taking steps from the objectives indicated by the Digital Europe Programme, Match 4.0, together with prestigious partners, has already been awarded important projects that will have significant impacts on the territory in terms of Digitalization, Cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence. Among the most important challenges is the creation of a resilient and sustainable ecosystem, more efficient and competitive.

The General Director of Confindustria Abruzzo Luigi Di Giosaffatte, introducing the work, underlined that, “Important European funds will arrive thanks to the highly qualified partnership, we therefore have the collective responsibility to spend the funds on the territory and for businesses, at a crucial moment in history. In particular, we want to reach small businesses: it is essential to raise the level of digitalisation of Abruzzo’s SMEs. If the level of digitalization and innovation does not grow, our medium and small businesses will not be able to survive on international markets. Large and specialist companies, in addition to being able to use the services with a lower intensity financial intervention, can apply to provide value-added services for SMEs.”

Per Ercole Cauti – Director of Match 4.0: “The real challenge is skills, there is no shortage of funding at the moment. Among our partners there are very high skills brought for example by universities, research centers, ITS, which we will make available in the services that will be provided to companies. There are resources to provide answers to all the companies that want to receive the services, which will also be provided through selected providers.”

For example, with the EDIHAMO project – which involves thirty-one partners – services will be managed ranging from evaluation analysis on digital maturity in companies – to identify any gaps present in the company. Service offered to SMEs with 100% financing. We will train the people present in the company, because only with motivated and informed people will there be a full transition to digitalisation. From cyber security to supercomputers, to offer predictive and data processing services through networks of super computers. Here too, up to 24 months of training for SMEs are 100% financed. The ability to promote the use of services by businesses will be fundamental.

He spoke on behalf of the Abruzzo Region Daniele Antinarella.

The opportunities reserved for the production system, through a catalog of digitalisation, cybersecurity and artificial intelligence services, offered in the sectors of evaluation, test before investment, training and skill development, financing research and networking, have been illustrated in detail for the benefit of many companies also present at the event from Andrea Ciccarelli – for UniTE, Fabio Graziosi – per UnivAQ, Gaetano Vespasian – for REISS Romoli, Giovanna Frastalli – per Match 4.0, Valentina Carlini – Manager of the Confindustria Digitalisation and Supply Chain area.
