It was a Saturday of Pride in Lombardy, between Cremona, Monza and Pavia, even if with some controversy in Cremona for a statue of the Madonna carried in procession. A Cremona the Pride was a first time: here too thousands of participants and some controversy for some representations of the Madonna – someone showed a picture of her topless – and of Pope Francis during the procession which attracted the protests of those who considered the blasphemous parade. Attacks Simona, the Lega’s high city councilor: “Parade with a statue of the Virgin sadomasochistic – he wrote – If this is pride in expressing an idea, it is certainly the wrong one. It is not about being bigots. It is about demanding respect. The same is true. respect that is required by those who today marched through the streets of my Cremona and who did not have it for a sacred image “.

There were almost 6 thousand participants in the eighth edition of Pavia Pride, a presence greater than that of the previous demonstrations, held before the two-year blockade due to the pandemic. A long colorful procession crossed the streets of the center, starting from Corso Garibaldi, in front of the Community Center that supports LGBTI + people, and arriving in Piazza Leonardo da Vinci, where the participants listened to some interventions. Everything took place regularly, under the discreet control of the police. The evening ended, still in the center, with the musical Pride Party.
In Monza the party was that of Brianza Pride, at least 4 thousand people responded to the call from Brianza Oltre l’Arcobaleno (BOA) and from Rete Brianza Pride, with the patronage of the Municipality and the participation of associations, local municipalities, trade unions. Also in the square were two candidates for mayor of the nearby administrative elections, Paolo Pilotto and Paolo Piffere Marco Cappato.
