Deprived of Liberty of the Zero Leisure Plan, they supported the Ministry of Tourism, who, through the Salvadoran Tourism Corporation (CORSATUR) and the Ministry of Public Works (MOP), carried out a cleaning day on El Sunzal beach, La Libertad.

The work was carried out in a dry ravine, which in winter flows into El Sunzal beach, dragging waste and causing flooding.

With these actions, the Government of President Nayib Bukele seeks to mitigate possible effects on the surrounding communities, due to possible rains, using labor from prisoners in the rehabilitation process, in coordination with other institutions.

The General Directorate of Penal Centers, in support of the country’s tourism sector, makes qualified labor available to the population to carry out renovation work in tourist centers, recreational parks and other coexistence centers throughout the country, transforming these places into true spaces for healthy recreation.
