Barrio Parque drew the first qualifying round of the season in the Argentine Basketball League. After beating Independiente de Santiago del Estero in the play-in, Verde del Sur takes on the Reclassification with the aim of reaching the quarterfinals of the promotion category.

The cast led by Nicolás Arduh, with the collaboration of Medardo Ligorria, opens the series at home. At 9pm at the Teatro del Parque they host Deportivo Norte de Armstrong, who finished sixth in the regular phase. The key will be the best of three three games and will continue on April 21 in the town of Santa Fe, and in the event of a third and decisive match it will be played on April 23, also in the province of Santa Fe, for the Northern Conference.

In the victory against the Santiago team by 81 to 53, Barrio Parque showed itself as a different team than the one that wandered in irregularity during the current campaign. That match was played on March 15 of this year, just after the departure of coach Esteban Pierdominini from Verde del Sur and with Arduh as the main coach.

In Villa María to the south

Ameghino de Villa María begins its Reclassification series in the Southern Conference by hosting Pergamino Básquet, this Tuesday at 9 p.m.

Ameghino closed the regular phase in a four-way tie that left him in 10th place. Pergamino Básquet, for its part, had an exceptional final stretch of the competition and was tied with Racing de Avellaneda in sixth place, but lost the tiebreaker, and will have a home field advantage against the Villamarienses.
