The Beijing Fire and Rescue Corps has established a joint logistics linkage, information sharing, and disaster research and judgment working mechanism with the Beijing Flood Control Headquarters and Meteorological Department. Based on the latest research and judgment information, combined with regional meteorological and geological characteristics, it has focused on 63 cities with high accumulation of water. At risk points, 695 areas with high risk of secondary disasters such as mountain torrents and mudslides, and 87 reservoir risk areas, we have formulated targeted plans according to classification to make full preparations for sudden floods.
At present, the Beijing Fire and Rescue Corps has fully entered a flood control combat readiness state. The main leaders and team members of each detachment and the two-level full-time headquarters are on duty 24 hours a day, with a professional flood prevention and rescue team of 670 people, as well as 22 detachments, 181 fire and rescue stations, 110 small fire stations, 7454 front-line commanders, 1,175 fire trucks are ready to be dispatched at any time to ensure that in the event of a flood disaster, they will be in place as soon as possible, and rescue operations will be carried out efficiently.
