On the afternoon of October 31, 2021, the Information Office of the People’s Government of Rizhao City, Shandong Province held the sixth press conference on the prevention and control of the new crown pneumonia epidemic. It was introduced at the meeting that from 0:00 to 24:00 on October 30, one new case of asymptomatic infection of new coronary pneumonia was added in Wulian County. As of 24:00 on October 30, Wulian County has reported a total of 9 confirmed cases of local new coronary pneumonia (3 cases of asymptomatic infections converted to confirmed cases) and 9 cases of asymptomatic infections. Judging from the status of existing confirmed cases and asymptomatic infections, except for the first confirmed case, the rest were discovered from the isolation control personnel through nucleic acid testing.

Shandong Province sent 10 experts to form a medical treatment team with municipal experts to formulate personalized treatment plans in accordance with the principle of “one patient, one policy”, and coordinate symptomatic treatment with Chinese and Western medicine. At present, the symptoms of the first and second confirmed cases have improved significantly and the body temperature is normal. Six patients with fever symptoms and one cough patient were given symptomatic treatment based on their symptoms and examination results; two children and one infant patient were given medical treatment by specially selected pediatric experts from Shandong Province and Rizhao City. At present, all patients are in stable condition.
