Or could it be that former ministers Medardo Cadena and Esteban Albornoz are behind the ‘sabotage‘enigmatic thing that Noboa insists on? Political lie or scapegoat; today, Minister Andrea Arrobo; and, before, Xavier Vera and Fernando Santos? Could it not be the untouchable narcorreismo that is alive, hard and unpredictable that no one has disrupted?
Well, let’s review the architecture of corruption and of surcharges in the hydroelectric, the contracts of electricity distribution companies and the purchase of megawatts confused between emergency declarations. For years there was no accountability to comptrollers (Carlos Polit o Pablo Celi) and fiscal (Galo Chiriboga o Carlos Baca) accomplices of the big robbery. They were the envelope of the discourse of the change of the glass energy matrix and the apotheosis of the drug trafficking along with dark money laundering mechanisms. The current militarization of prisons is little without rereading history.
The thing is that drug trafficking is active in the ideological factor; in the politics of regional neo-Marxism, in the dictatorship of the Venezuelan nightmare of that dry voice of Nicolás Maduro and in the harassment in the ears of the Mexican Andrés Manuel López Obrador; in the liquid fetishistic thought of the class struggle behind the euphemism called ‘progressivism’; in indigenous romantic poetry and in technological communication and entertainment formats; in the essentials of collective fear and in all the spaces where its action and financing are allowed. Hence, the need to detect the routes of ill-gotten money in thermoelectricity transnationals, in oil companies, mining companies, and in the calamities of our basic services: electricity, water and fuel. The murders, now almost frequent, of several mayors are a lit fuse of criminal networks to be exploited.
Narcopolitics continues in the energy sector and allows public positions and situations to be intertwined, a nepotism of caprice and heartbreaking bribery. It is insignificant to set days off and penal populism as a way out of the terrible legacy of past governments. If justice, ministries, political parties, superintendencies, unions and universities are not purged, it is very difficult to put the nation on track.
