Prosecutors from the Support Structure charged Diego Alejandro García Gutiérrez, 29, and Víctor Manuel Campos Martínez, 24, with the crime of qualified and aggravated robbery, for isolated events that occurred in 2022 and 2023, in two municipalities in Meta.

In the first case, García Gutiérrez, along with two other people, would have entered a residence located in the Barzal neighborhood of Villavicencio (Meta) in the early hours of April 13, 2022, from where they took 10 televisions, air conditioners, 35 meters of air conditioning cables, an air conditioner, 4 cordless drills and tools valued at approximately $16,000,000.

The defendant was captured by court order on a public road between the municipalities of Acacias and Villavicencio when he was traveling on a motorcycle stolen hours before in the municipality of San Carlos de Guaroa (Meta), this March 14.

The man, who did not accept the charges brought by the Prosecutor’s Office for theft, received a home security measure with an electronic device by order of the judge before whom the respective concentrated hearings were held.
