The Director General of the Police, General William Salamanca Ramírez, at a press conference revealed details of the investigations that concluded with the capture of three uniformed officers in the Department of Arauca.
According to the officer, he pointed out that, in the case of the Major, Joan Manuel Pérez Rodríguez, commander of the Saravena Police Station, it was a Police investigation with intelligence and counterintelligence.

Regarding the alleged actions of the four captured, General William Salamanca Ramírez stressed that these are behaviors that he does not tolerate, which is why he warned that any uniformed officer who is discovered acting outside his code of ethics will be subjected to disciplinary and criminal justice.
“It is important that the country knows, when I assumed the general direction of the Police, that I set four objectives: humanism, professionalism, innovation and honesty. And it is the Colombian people that demand institutions, that their members be clean in their actions and the Police cannot be alien to them,” he asserted.
Those captured, as confirmed in the press conference, are Major Joan Manuel Pérez Rodríguez in the municipality of Tuluá (Valle), the Chief Mayor. (R) Erwin Giovanny Lievano León, in the municipality of Piedecuesta (Santander), the Deputy Mayor. Jhon Alexander Orozco Salazar in the municipality of Arauca (Arauca) and patrol officer Lesly Geraldin Angarita Quintero in the municipality of Arauca (Arauca).
