The selection process for the 10 Paraguayan technicians who will travel to South Korea this year to carry out training on die-casting, molds and development of electric mobility has ended. This initiative, which has the support of ITAIPU Binacional, is part of the project to strengthen electromobility and promote the auto parts industry in the country.

The professionals selected are Claudio Alfredo Torres Rodriguez, Javier Mateo Cabrera Mareco, Adrian Rolando Acuna Mendez, Hector Ricardo Cardozo, Marco Gabriel Ortega Vallejo, Janice Eugenia Gomez Fretes, Jessica Elizabeth Alvarez Galeano, Marcos Daniel Ruiz Vera, Cecilia Magali Vielman Lopez and Juan Miguel Martinez.

The selection committee was made up of representatives from the Vice Ministry of Industry (Ministry of Industry and Commerce), ITAIPU, ITAIPU Paraguay Technology Park (PTI-PY) and the Korea Automotive Technology Institute (Katech).

The training will take place from April to July 2024 at the headquarters of the Korea Cooperative of Die and Mold Industries (Kodmic), located in the town of Siheung-si, Gyeonggi-do. At the site, intensive courses will be taught by international experts focusing on die-casting, molds, assembly and electric mobility.

It is important to mention that selected students will have travel assistance insurance, which will work under the reimbursement modality. Likewise, they will have basic financial support and accommodation and food will be covered by the project.

A total of 73 young people from various parts of the country had applied in this second call to receive instruction for 4 months. It is worth remembering that, in November of last year, the first group of 10 professionals who completed training in the Asian nation had returned to Paraguay.
