Serious problem of climate extremes – Mashriq TV

The international human rights organization Amnesty International has said that in South Asia, especially Pakistani citizens are deprived of facilities related to protection from high temperatures. According to Amnesty International’s report, people with low incomes are under the open sky even in hot days. They are forced to work and are the least able to protect themselves from climate change. According to Amnesty International, more than 40 million people in Pakistan are without electricity, which means they do not have access to an air conditioner or a fan. If the report of the international organization is examined, then it is a cautious report, otherwise the real situation is that due to inflation and lack of employment opportunities, a large section of the country’s population is forced to go out to earn halal sustenance in the harsh heat and sun. All are forced to work, from daily wage laborers to laborers who set and drive carts, due to lack of electricity, including the small business class, who face extreme heat and sweat in cramped markets. In this way, if the farmers and other working class do not leave with their lives on their hands, there is a risk of losing their families due to starvation. Almost everyone who leaves the house is affected. Due to shading, there is no scope for any other kind of government support for those who work in these conditions, except for those who are forced to do business and employment to protect themselves from the weather as much as possible. Along with the traditional methods of taking preventive measures, they should be informed about new measures, at least cold water should be arranged for them, and where the institutions or individuals under whom these people work, they should be obliged to do so. Take care as much as possible and the working hours should be short if possible or they should be banned from working in the hours of intense sunlight and such hours should be created so that these people are not affected too much. In this case, they should be given free treatment along with daily rest period by the government which is subject to the report of the qualified doctor and the patient and there should be no scope for taking undue advantage of this facility.
