The Bronx subway station shooting left one dead and five injured in Mt. Eden, New York City. The incident occurred after a fight broke out on board a northbound line 4 train and extended to the subway platform at Mt. Eden Avenue through Jerome Avenue. The shooter remains at large, and police are searching for at least one suspect who fled the scene.

The victims, including two teenagers, a man and woman in their 20s, and a 71-year-old man, were taken to the hospital and are expected to recover. No arrests have yet been made, and the police are pulling video footage from train station cameras to identify the suspect(s). Thirteen shell casings were recovered at the scene, and Line 4 service was delayed in both directions.

Authorities have advised people to avoid the area of Jerome Ave between Inwood Ave and Townsend Ave in Bronx, NY, as the investigation continues. The NYPD is urging the public to use alternate routes and expect traffic in the area.
