The Municipality of Silea and the Parco del Sile body inaugurated on Saturday 22 May the new bridge along the Sile greenway, in the area of the Burci cemetery, which is now accessible for anyone wishing to walk along the stretch of the “old Sile” and the lakes. Pavan. The new walkway is made of steel, with a single span of 22 meters, it cost 100,000 euros financed 50% by the Park Authority and 50% by the Municipality.
The wooden bridge had been closed for safety reasons with a special ordinance in October 2018 and since then the long bureaucratic process for its replacement had begun. Cyclists and runners, in view of the reopening of the pedestrian section that runs along the southernmost branch of the Sile, the “Sil Morto”, had to wait more than two years. In addition to the economic resources made available by the Park Authority, those of the municipality of Silea have also been added, in whose municipal territory the area affected by the intervention falls.

Great institutional presence at the official ribbon cutting ceremony (after the bridge had already been placed in early May): the mayor of the municipality of Silea Rossella Cendron and the councilor for public works Ylenia Canzian, the President of the Sile Park, Arturo Pizzolon and the park authority manager, Santina Serenella Grande. Also present were the Mayor of Casier, Renzo Carraretto, the Mayor of Casale sul Sile, Stefano Giuliato and the Mayor of Quarto di Altino, Claudio Grosso.
