Following a complaint filed by the company Keralty, owner of Sanitas, the relevance of opening an investigation against SuperSalud, Luis Carlos Leal, is being studied.
The Attorney General of the Nation, Margarita Cabello Blanco, announced that will begin strict surveillance against the forced interventions initiated by the National Health Superintendency on the EPS Sánitas and Nueva EPS, to guarantee that the service they have been providing to their millions of members is not affected.
In statements to the media, the head of the Public Ministry assured that her team is analyzing with a magnifying glass the arguments put forward by Supersalud to justify these decisions and whether these are sufficiently reasonable and proportional to accommodate a provision of the magnitude of the forced intervention.
He also revealed that, following a disciplinary complaint filed by the Keralty company, owner of Sanitas, The relevance of opening a disciplinary investigation against the Superintendent of Health is being studied, Luis Carlos Leal, for alleged inconsistencies in the arguments that motivated the intervention.
Finally, the attorney announced the creation of a national network of the Public Ministry, made up of judicial attorneys, representatives and officials of the Ombudsman’s Office, in order to verify throughout the national territory the correct budgetary and logistical management and the quality of health care for the millions of members of the EPSs intervened.
