Teachers and students in Chongqing pay tribute to revolutionary martyrs on Qingming Festival
On April 2, teachers and students in Chongqing gathered at the Nanquan Martyrs Cemetery in Banan District to commemorate the Qingming Festival and honor the revolutionary martyrs who fought for the country’s liberation. The participants lined up in an orderly manner, holding flowers as they observed a moment of silence to show their respect and admiration for the martyrs.
The event, organized by China Construction Science and Technology West Company and joined by local enterprises, institutions, and citizens, aimed to promote the practice of remembering the sacrifices made by past revolutionaries. Participants also visited Jianwen Peak in the South Hot Spring Scenic Area to pay homage to the Memorial Park of the Main Battlefield Site of the Liberation of Chongqing, where they learned about the heroic deeds of the martyrs who fought in the 56-hour “Battle of Nanquan”.
Through these activities, the organizers hope to inspire a sense of patriotism and dedication among the younger generation, encouraging them to uphold the ideals and values of the revolutionary martyrs.
