The battle of Silvia Gambadoro: “My sister died of AIDS at the age of 45, so I framed her infector”

MESSINA – Love can make a difference. And the story of Silvia Gambador, a 54-year-old lawyer from Messina, proves it. It was she who didn’t give up after her sister died Stefania, killed by AIDS on 18 July 2017, when she was 45 and a twelve-year-old boy. It was she who fought to bring to justice the greaser who had infected her, and who – by hiding the truth from her – prevented her from obtaining the treatment that would have saved her life.
