The Sabiona monastery could be connected to the valley floor via a lift in the mountain, without impacting the landscape. This is the hypothesis at the center of a declaration of intent by the Province of Bolzano, the Municipality of Chiusa and the Diocese. The president of the Province Arno Kompatscher said this, hoping that life will soon return to the monastery with the arrival of the Austrian Cistercians.
