It was the niece Cristina, who arrived for the funeral from Germany, who touched the most intimate chords of the personality of Gian Domenico Cappellaro, the 77-year-old entrepreneur who was already head of Confindustria Belluno, who died in the early hours of last Thursday at the hospital’s Hospice. of Feltre.

A portrait of an attentive and loving uncle, who showed attention in keeping close contacts even with that part of his family who emigrated abroad. It was a warm farewell that the community of Facen di Pedavena paid to Vanni, as his friends called him. And yesterday morning there were just so many to fill the small church and the churchyard. The friends of the town and those he had throughout the Feltre area, the Alpine troops, his employees and above all the many entrepreneurs with whom Cappellaro collaborated. Also present was Giorgio Slongo, mayor of Fonzaso where the Cappellaro company, Serbosco, and Maria Teresa De Bortoli for the Municipality of Pedavena are based. A participation certainly appreciated by his wife Carmen, his son Marco and the rest of the family. Cappellaro had also been a member of the municipal council from 1995 to 1999 and was president of the local bowling club.

It is comforting to see how many people have come to honor him at this moment ».
