According to a tweet published in the early hours of Monday, April 22, 2024, the Ministry of Energy and Mines has announced that power outages in Ecuador will be reduced.
The National Electricity Operator (Cenace) has identified improvements in hydroelectric plants due to the rains recorded, especially in the hydroelectric areas of the Austro and North of the country.
Thanks to the increased flow, power outages are expected to decrease nationwide. The Ministry of Energy has also announced that it will provide more details about the monitoring carried out and will announce the new outage schedule.
