The perverse mechanisms of energy increases

by admin

I would like someone to explain what real mechanisms (perverse or not) are behind the recent increases in electricity and the probable further ones in the coming weeks. Officially we are told that it is due to the increase in the price of gas or fossil fuels in general. Given that only a part of the energy used in our country is produced in this way, it is not possible to explain why these increases do not concern only that part and not all the rest.

If I have not misunderstood even the Prime Minister, Draghi, in the recent press conference at the end of the year, expressed his perplexity on the subject, going so far as to say that with these increases there are many subjects who are making exaggerated profits and to whom it would be it is right to ask for a contribution rather than using public finances to try to limit these increases; in practice it is a transfer of money from the state to private entities not to guarantee employment or advantages for the country but simply for profit.

Finally, I note that this topic, even if touched by Draghi, has not been taken up or mentioned before by any political force, all committed to trying not to remain with the match in hand on the next election of the President of the Republic.
