The event, at which the art scene said goodbye to Bratislava’s Kunsthalle on Wednesday afternoon, had an impact on the police.

Shortly after the official end of the event, where several dozen people gathered, the police took one of the co-organizers to the station.

The student of the Academy of Fine Arts had to explain what exactly the cardboard coffin with the inscription Kunsthalle meant and whether it was a death threat against the Minister of Culture Martina Šimkovičová. The student wished to remain anonymous, we know her identity and we also talked about the event with other organizers and the police.

“It was surreal, but I take it neutrally, I guess I’m armored,” says the student. “I see it as just one more thing in the whole sequence of what’s going on right now.”
