“Thanks to the weather, the season is definitely getting longer: during this weekend the beach offices were booked at about 65 percent, which for the month of September is a really satisfying figure – explains Emanuele Rodeano, president of Lignano Sabbiadoro Gestioni spa. -. The hotelier Enrico Guerin, president of Confcommercio Lignano, underlines: “The weekend was substantially sold out in the accommodation facilities, this year the holidays are exploited to the last: the level of occupancy is above expectations, even if the start of the season was precarious.
With the excellent results of the central months, namely July, August and now also September, the numbers for the season are pre-pandemic. The big problem of the summer – continues Guerin – was the difficulty in finding the workforce, it is necessary to find some measure: it is difficult to guarantee a service without personnel ».
Martin Manera, president of the Lignano Holiday consortium, also points out the critical issues. «The season was very intense, there were many difficulties in planning activities, in procurement and in finding personnel – analyzes Manera -. However, this weekend we worked well, especially in the more central accommodation facilities.
For the next few weeks we expect last minute bookings, many of which are related to the Biker Fest. Some more decentralized structures closed over the weekend, but they are a minority: most of the hotels and hotels will close next weekend or until the good weather will hold up ».
Lignano, therefore, is still full of tourists, «even if now, with the beginning of the schools, the type of clientele changes – concludes the councilor for tourism Massimo Brini -. Families with school-age children return to their own country, while mainly elderly people or couples without children continue to arrive.
