The Security Council adopted a resolution for a cease-fire in Gaza

Web Desk: The United Nations Security Council for the first time approved an immediate ceasefire resolution in Gaza.
The Security Council meeting was held today to vote on the cease-fire resolution in the Gaza Strip, in which the resolution was approved.
The immediate ceasefire resolution was presented by the 10 member countries of the Security Council.
Among the countries that presented the resolution were Algeria, Japan, Ecuador, Switzerland, South Korea, Malta and other countries.
14 out of 15 members of the Security Council supported the resolution, while the United States did not participate in the voting on the Gaza ceasefire resolution.
It should be noted that 4 resolutions regarding the war in Gaza were presented in the UN Security Council before this, but none of them could be approved.
United Nations chief Antonio Guterres, reacting to the adoption of the resolution, has demanded an immediate ceasefire and the immediate and unconditional release of the hostages. He has said that this resolution must be implemented.
