The Standing Committee of the 14th Municipal People’s Congress holds the 53rd meeting-Shantou-Dahuanet

News from our newspaper (reporter Cai Xiaodan) On the morning of July 30, the Standing Committee of the 14th Municipal People’s Congress held the 53rd meeting. The meeting was presided over by Wu Qihuang, Executive Deputy Director of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People’s Congress. Deputy Directors Lin Ping, Xu Zongling, Du Huaidan, Wu Jianyan, Chen Xiangguang, Secretary-General Li Luan and members attended the meeting. Zhao Zhitao, Deputy Mayor of the Municipal People’s Government, Yang Yingyan, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection and Deputy Director of the Municipal Supervisory Committee, Deputy Secretary-General of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People’s Congress, responsible comrades of the Municipal Intermediate People’s Court, the Municipal People’s Procuratorate, the Standing Committees of the District and County People’s Congresses, and some municipal people’s congresses Representatives attended the meeting as nonvoting delegates.

The meeting listened to the report on the amendments to the “Shantou Special Economic Zone Overseas Chinese Economic and Cultural Cooperation Pilot Zone (Direct Management Zone) Regulations (Draft)”, the report on the amendments to the “Shantou Special Economic Zone Comprehensive Bonded Zone Regulations (Draft)” and the Explanation of the Regulations on the Protection and Inheritance of Chaozhou Opera in Shantou (Draft).

The meeting deliberated in groups of the “Regulations on the Shantou Overseas Chinese Economic and Cultural Cooperation Pilot Zone (Draft Revision)”, “Shantou Comprehensive Bonded Zone Regulations (Draft Revision)” and “Shantou City Chaozhou Opera Protection and Inheritance Regulations (Draft)”.

The meeting also passed relevant personnel appointment and removal matters, and held a ceremony for issuing appointments and constitutional oaths. Before the appointment, the Standing Committee of the Municipal People’s Congress organized relevant personnel to the Constitution and Law Propaganda Room of the Shantou People’s Congress to conduct learning and education on the Constitution and the system of the People’s Congress.
