by admin

From 13 September with the company OLGA_ cirqAnalogique and Andrea Salustri

A program dedicated to the new circus is the one proposed between 13 September and 26 October 2021 by T * Danse – Danse et Technologie – International Festival of New Dance in Aosta. The festival organized by TiDA – Teatro Instabile of Aosta and by the Cittadella dei Giovani of Aosta, with the artistic direction of Marco Chenevier and Francesca Fini and supported by the Circus Next platform, will live this year with a reduced version which, however, does not fail to enhance the highlights of the five-year history of this festival.

Starting from the relationship with the territory, the central soul that T * Danse thanks to the support of the “Host Club”, the partnership with the numerous dance schools in the region and the involvement of the students of the artistic high school. So for two weeks it will bring the OLGA_ cirqAnalogique Company to the territory, a French company born in Toulouse in 2017 and now selected for the European program for the development of contemporary dramaturgy for the Circus Next circus. During the residency, from 13 to 26 September in the multi-purpose hall of Arvier, the company will share with the territory the practices and creative processes underlying the artistic research that continues to develop the LP (Long Play) show. Thursday 24 September at 5.30 pm the public opening of the Arvier multipurpose room will allow all those who have booked to attend LP (Long Play) for free and enter the underground world hidden behind the mask of the newspaper of cables, software, high heels and beard. Witness a cry of resistance that pays homage to the generation of the new millennium.

Fireworks also for the second, very prestigious appointment: the national premiere of Andrea Salustri’s Materia. An eclectic artist, the young Roman takes his first steps as a street artist and after graduating cum laude in Philosophy at the La Sapienza University of Rome, he decides to move to Berlin. Here he begins to devote himself to contemporary dance, a path through which he will arrive at Materia, a circus work already scheduled for the 2020 edition of T * Danse, but which the pandemic has forced to postpone. In Matter, the show is deconstructed into a visual and sound performance. The possibilities of polystyrene are explored, making it alive and the protagonist of the events on stage. The role of the performer shifts towards that of the facilitator, and the focus is constantly negotiated between object, manipulator and manipulation.

Two appointments that are daring proposals specially chosen by T * Danse to affirm the importance of innovation and artistic research and continue to propose contemporary works in the Aosta Valley region.
