The Third Plenary Meeting of the 13th Discipline Inspection Commission of Guangdong Province of the Communist Party of China was held on January 29 in Guangzhou. The meeting aimed to summarize the annual inspection and supervision work in 2023 and to plan the tasks for 2024. Provincial Party Committee Secretary Huang Kunming attended and delivered a speech, emphasizing the need to thoroughly study and implement General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important thoughts on the Party’s self-revolution.
Huang Kunming stressed the importance of fully implementing the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Party, the Second Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee and the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Commission for Discipline Inspection. He also emphasized the need to maintain the tenacity and perseverance that is always on the road and continue to promote the in-depth development of Guangdong’s comprehensive and strict party governance.
Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Governor Wang Weizhong, Director of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People’s Congress Huang Chuping, Chairman of the Provincial Political Consultative Conference Lin Keqing, and Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Shenzhen Municipal Party Committee Meng Fanli also attended the meeting.
During the meeting, Huang Kunming pointed out that in the past year, party organizations and disciplinary inspection and supervision agencies at all levels in the province have made great strides in implementing the party’s 20 major strategic deployments and the missions assigned to Guangdong by General Secretary Xi Jinping.
Huang Kunming also emphasized the need to deeply grasp and promote the party’s self-revolution, eradicate the soil and conditions that create corruption problems, and strengthen the party’s centralized and unified leadership of the anti-corruption struggle.
Song Fulong, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection, presided over the meeting and emphasized the need to thoroughly study and implement General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important thoughts on the party’s self-revolution and to enhance the “four consciousnesses” and strengthen the “four self-confidences”.
The meeting was held in the form of a video and telephone conference and was attended by various members and leaders at the local and provincial levels. Song Fulong, on behalf of the Standing Committee of the Guangdong Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection of the Communist Party of China, also gave a speech entitled “In-depth study and implementation of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important thoughts on the Party’s self-revolution, and in-depth advancement of the new journey of high-quality development of discipline inspection and supervision work for Guangdong in promoting Chinese-style modernization” work report.
