Today, the National Weather Service has given Läänemaa a storm warning of the first level, which warns of both strong wind and ice.
According to the weather forecast, today the northwest and north winds will blow at gusts of 15-18, on the coast up to 21 m/s. The air temperature drops below 0°C during the day and wet road surfaces become slippery. The temperature in Läänemaa may drop to eight degrees below zero today.
The temperature will drop to 11 degrees Celsius and it will snow during the night ahead. The snowfall will continue tomorrow as well, up to six degrees of frost are expected. On the night of Saturday, it will be up to 17 degrees below zero, the southeast wind will blow at 2-5 m/s.
