Theft in the town hall in Fontanafredda: the thief caught on camera confesses, is a 21 year old

He had forced wardrobes and drawers and managed to escape with 403 euros in cash and groceries: the young man was denounced

FONTANAFREDDA. He had entered the municipal building of Fontanafredda rummaging everywhere, ransacking various offices and breaking into wardrobes and drawers and then fleeing at the end of a blow that, in addition to just over 400 euros in cash, had also yielded an electronic cigarette, sparkling wine and food products (including snacks).

In short, full pockets and stomachs, but for him the party lasted a few days: he was in fact captured by the images taken by the video surveillance circuit of some streets adjacent to the municipal building of Fontanafredda.

This is thanks to the investigations by the carabinieri of the Sacile operative rate who, in collaboration with the local police of Fontanafredda, identified and referred the alleged perpetrator of the aggravated theft perpetrated at the municipal building of Fontanafredda in a state of freedom to the Public Prosecutor of Pordenone.

The investigation began when, in the morning of May 15, when the employees of the Municipality realized that someone had entered the complex in via Puccini 8, in Vigonovo di Fontanafredda and had opened, forcing them, wardrobes and drawers. During the raid, an electronic cigarette placed on a desk, various consumables and, finally, several banknotes and coins from inside a metal box were removed, for a total of 403 euros.

The carabinieri immediately carried out urgent surveys on the spot, collecting various traces left by the perpetrator of the shot and acquiring the images of the video surveillance cameras present in the streets adjacent to the municipal building: it is precisely by examining the videos that the Arma soldiers managed to identify the perpetrator of the theft in the 21-year-old RB, resident in Cormons and temporarily domiciled in Fontanafredda.

With the collaboration of the local police of Fontanafredda, the young man was tracked down in a bar in the center and from there taken to the barracks for the related investigations, during which he admitted his responsibilities.

The removed consumable was found inside an abandoned box in a neighboring street while the electronic cigarette, owned by a municipal employee, was found in the availability of the young man, and 220 euros in cash, the remainder of the 403 euros removed from the box found in the town hall. Money and materials found were confiscated, as well as the clothes and hat that the offender wore during the theft.
