The reporter learned from the Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security on November 24 that, in order to effectively protect the rights and interests of workers and severely crack down on illegal acts of wage arrears, the Provincial Migrant Workers Work Leading Group Office will organize a development in the province from November 1, 2021 to 2022 before the Spring Festival. The special action in winter for arrears of wages will be eradicated, and the channels for complaints about wages will be announced.

This special action focuses on the engineering construction field and other enterprises in the industries that are prone to pay arrears, and implements a centralized and special management of the issue of salary arrears. The verified wage arrears will be completed before the Spring Festival in 2022, so that migrant workers who are owed wages will be paid in time to return to their hometowns for the New Year.

In order to facilitate the timely protection of workers’ rights, the Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security once again announced the province’s labor security supervision and complaint telephone numbers.
