China Faces Rain, Snow, and Cold Air in the Coming Days
China is bracing for a mix of rain, snow, and a new round of cold air that will affect central and eastern parts of the country, according to the Central Meteorological Observatory.
From March 20 to 23, central and northern Xinjiang will experience light to moderate rain or sleet, heavy snow in high-altitude areas, and localized blizzards or heavy snowstorms. Additionally, there will be light rain or sleet in central and eastern Inner Mongolia, northern North China, and Northeast China.
The impact of a new round of cold air from March 23 to 25 will result in a temperature drop of 4 to 6 degrees Celsius across most areas in the central and eastern regions. Some areas may even see a temperature drop of 8 to 10 degrees Celsius. Strong northerly winds are expected, with gusts reaching up to level 6 to 8 in certain regions.
Detailed forecasts for the next three days include light to moderate snow or rain in northern Xinjiang, areas along the Tianshan Mountains, and high-altitude regions. Parts of Inner Mongolia and regions in Tibet and Qinghai will also experience mixed snowfall.
The forecast also predicts outbreaks of light to moderate snow or sleet in areas like Inner Mongolia, Liaoning, Hebei, Xinjiang, Tibet, and Sichuan Plateau from March 21 to 22.
As China prepares for the upcoming weather conditions, residents are urged to take necessary precautions to stay safe and warm during this period of rain, snow, and cold air.
