This morning Fredy Figueroa Salazar was captured for running over a man, crashing his vehicle into private property and for transporting the body of a person wrapped in sheets.
The arrest was carried out at the entrance of Quezaltepeque, department of La Libertad, according to agents of the National Civil Police (PNC).
The police confirm that more than four thousand dollars in cash and a 9-millimeter caliber pistol cartridge were also seized from Figueroa Salazar. When searching the vehicle, the agents were surprised to find that in the trunk there was a body wrapped in sheets.
First responders from the Salvadoran Red Cross went to the scene of the accident to help the pedestrian who suffered injuries to different parts of his body, who after being stabilized was taken to a healthcare center in the area.
The crash occurred at 6:30 in the morning today at kilometer 24.5 of the highway that leads from San Salvador to Quezaltepeque, in front of the monument of Monsignor Óscar Arnulfo Romero.
