The body of Wang Zhanbig, the telecommunications engineer of Chinese origin lost in El Ávila, was found this Saturday.
The body was found in Quebrada Chacaíto, as reported by journalist Joan Camargo through Xformerly Twitter.
Wang had been lost since last January 6 when he went up to the El Ávila national park, renamed by Chavismo as Wararira Repano. Since then, he has been reported missing.
Different security and rescue forces participated in the search. Officials from the BAE of the Scientific Investigations, Penalties and Criminalistics Corps (Cicpc) were the ones who rescued the body of the Asian engineer.
Until now, it is presumed that the engineer slipped and fell down a ravine. It is expected that in the next few hours the authorities will offer more details.
