In the Villa Colombia neighborhood, located in the north of Neiva, the crime of Jhon Jairo Lugo, 41 years old, was recorded in the midst of an alleged act of intolerance.
The events that triggered this unfortunate event date back to an argument heated between Jhon Jairo and a neighbor, whose tensions reached a point of no return. It was on 22nd Street with Carrera 1G where this fight reached its critical point, when the neighbor, in an act of anger, pulled out a firearm and shot at Jhon Jairo, taking his life.

The quick intervention of some people present made it possible to provide aid to the injured man, who was immediately taken to a care center. However, the magnitude of the damage caused by the shot was insurmountable, and the doctors’ efforts were in vain, confirming the tragic loss of Jhon Jairo.
Given this act of unjustified violence, the authorities have launched an investigation to clarify the details of the incident. In this sense, the arrest of a person allegedly linked to the murder of Jhon Jairo has been achieved. This person will face justice to answer for the crimes of homicide and illegal possession of weapons.
The investigations into this bloody event in the city of Neiva continue their natural course in order to establish with certainty what was the trigger for the tragedy.
