A body was found this Friday morning in the Paján canton, on the road to the La Trinidad site, a few meters from the dam.
People passing by the place were the ones who noticed the presence of the body on the edge of a ravine and immediately notified the Police.
Local agents were mobilized to the scene, who cordoned off the area and requested the support of Criminalistics and Dinased personnel.
According to what was learned, the victim had several bullet woundssome of them on the face.
It is presumed that the crime would have been committed elsewhere in the Paján canton and then the body was taken to be thrown away in the ravine.
The victim was identified as Jordi Sebastián Pinargote Mero, approximately 28 years old.
The victim’s relatives also arrived at the site, who helped identify her.
After the expert report, the body was going to be transferred to the Manta forensic center for an autopsy to be performed.
