The Colombia Estéreo 100.3 FM station, owned by the National Army, began operating in the Military Canton in Quibdó in 1999 with equipment of 30 various power. It was then improved with 1,800 watt equipment and on April 4 it was reopened with cutting-edge technology and a power of 5,000 watts, which increases coverage to 90 percent of the Chocó territory.
Gerson Chaverra, president of the Supreme Court of Justice, and Colonel Campo Elías Campo Escobar, commander of the Army’s Comprehensive Action and Development Support Command, were present at the reopening ceremony.
