They report a scam with false job offers in Astrea and Arjona

Juan Sepulveda, a resident of Astrea, Cesar, reported to EL PILÓN that during February 14 and 15, individuals on motorcycles carried out an advertising campaign through public address in said town and in Arjona, promoting supposed highly paid job offers for driving. However, the contracting parties requested money for various aspects of the process, and now they do not respond.

According to the affected person, after sending his resume, an individual identified as Jean Carlos Oviedo contacted him to begin the hiring process. However, he was later informed that his license was not valid to drive pickup trucks, so he must transfer the sum of $1,350,000 to another person named Héctor Rojas to obtain permission, a transaction that was carried out.

Subsequently, he was informed of an alleged fine that prevented him from working, and the same entity offered to eliminate it for $578,000, of which he was only able to raise $410,000. Despite these payments, he has spent considerable time without receiving any response.

For fear of losing his money, Juan Sepulveda filed a complaint with the Prosecutor’s Office. Sepulveda points out that before carrying out the procedures, he consulted with the Secretary of Government of Astrea, who assured him of the legitimacy of the process. “Since he assured me that the work was genuine, I provided all my information and sent the money“Sepulveda stated.

“Mr. Jean Carlos tells me that since the money was not transferred directly to him, Mr. Héctor should respond, when it was Jean Carlos who put me in contact with him,” explained Sepulveda, who affirms that Three other people have also been scammed similarly.
