In joint operations, units of the National Police, National Army, Colombian Navy, Colombian Aerospace Force, and the Attorney General’s Office seized 1,516 kilos of marijuana, and captured three individuals who were transporting it.
The action occurred in the vicinity of the La Catorce Inspection, municipality of Cumaribo, when military and police personnel were carrying out area territorial control operations.
A vehicle that was accompanied by a motorcycle was verified, finding a ton and a half of the hallucinogen inside. At the scene, three subjects were captured. It is estimated that the marijuana would have a value that would amount to 9.7 million dollars in the international illegal market. The captured individuals and the evidentiary material elements (marijuana and vehicles) were placed at the disposal of the competent authorities.
