The Minister of Labor, Rolando Castro, announced the positive results of the inspections carried out in the restaurant and hotel sector, highlighting the Ministry’s commitment to defending labor rights.
Castro reported that, as a result of these inspections, companies in the restaurant and hotel industry have been able to compensate the rights of their workers. Particularly notable was the recovery of tips not passed on to employees, a persistent problem in some companies.
“We want to inform you that there are already companies in this sector that are compensating their workers with this benefit,” said the minister, underlining the government’s commitment to guaranteeing fair working conditions.
Minister Castro pointed out specific cases, such as a company that is currently paying tips it owed its employees for six months. This is just one example of the practices that are being corrected thanks to the inspections promoted by the Ministry.
“We will continue to dignify the working class in our country,” said the head of Labor, highlighting the government’s determination in promoting equitable and fair working conditions.
These efforts reflect the commitment of the Ministry of Labor to guarantee that labor rights are respected, thus contributing to the well-being of the working class in the country.
