UDINE. Thieves in action also in the city, on the evening of Saturday 9 October, in the streets of Lombardy and Syracuse. The criminals managed to enter a house in via Lombardia after having forced the front door.
Once inside, they rummaged through the various rooms, turning everything upside down and taking away some family jewels.
It was the owner of the house who called the police, who intervened on the spot, after seeing two people leave the house.
The thieves fled without a trace. The loot is still to be quantified.
