In an operation against micro-trafficking in the capital of Huila, the Neiva Metropolitan Police announced the capture of three people allegedly linked to the sale of narcotics in commune 9 of the city.
Among those detained is Edgar “Chamizo”, a 45-year-old individual with an extensive criminal history.
The operation, carried out by units of the Criminal Investigation Section (SIJIN) in coordination with the Attorney General’s Office, was carried out through a search procedure that allowed the capture of those involved. In addition to “Chamizo”, Sergio “Copete”, 25 years old, and Diana “Yulieth”, 27 years old, were arrested.
Edgar “Chamizo” has been identified by the police as an individual with judicial notes for various crimes, including threats, theft, damage to other people’s property and prisoner escape.. According to citizen information, he took advantage of his status as a person with a disability to commit illegal activities and evade police controls.

The investigation carried out by the authorities made it possible to establish the alleged responsibility of the detainees in controlling the sale of narcotics in several neighborhoods of commune 9, including Carbonell, Villa Ferry and Luis Ignacio Andrade.
During the operation, four cell phones were seized, 108 doses of cocaine, 10 grams of cocaine ready to be dosed and 210 thousand pesos in cash, allegedly obtained from the sale of drugs.
Those captured were placed at the disposal of a Guarantee Control Judge to define their legal situation. Colonel Alexander Castillo Marín, commander of the Neiva Metropolitan Police, urged citizens to report any criminal activity that endangers security and coexistence in the territory, through the emergency line 123 or by going to the nearest patrol .
